"ALDC Ain't Dead Yet" is the eighth episode of the seventh season of Dance Moms. It first aired on January 17, 2017.

Synopsis

Abby brings the girls to a cemetery to get them in the spirit for a graveyard-inspired routine; the mothers are frustrated when Brynn is given a special part; Elliana and Lilliana are given head-to-head solos for the first time.[1]

  • The group dance this week was based on grave diggers. During the week, the team visited Hollywood Forever Cemetery, so the girls would get a better understanding of the choreography.[2]
  • Kalani missed a day of rehearsal time
  • A Choreographer's Cut aired right after the episode, for the first time since Season 5.[3]
  • Kendall's solo title is an acronym that means "Dead on Arrival". Although it was not shown during the episode, it was later released on Lifetime's YouTube channel.
  • Elliana's solo was based on the famous silent film actor Charlie Chaplin.
  • After the competition, the girls went golfing and had a Halloween party.
