- It has been claimed by a witness sitting behind the CADC (and photographed with Cathy) that the Abby Lee Dance Company received a Platinum adjudication for their group dance, while Candy Apple's received a Diamond adjudication; which would have made Candy Apple's score higher than the ALDC's. All parties agree the ALDC were formally presented with first place at awards, ahead of the second place "Own It"; official results also give this order of placing.
