Kendall K[6] Vertes (born December 9, 2002) is an Abby Lee Dance Company member, and a former Candy Apple's Dance Center member. She is the daughter of Erno Vertes and Jill Vertes, and the younger sister of Ryleigh and Charlotte Vertes.

Before coming to Abby's studio, Kendall started dance at Rogers School of Dance, and then trained at Studio 19 Dance Complex.

Miscellaneous informationEdit

  • The middle "K" in her name is just a "K," and honors Jill's nieces (and Kendall's cousins), Kiley and Kara.[7]
  • Kendall started dancing at eighteen months.
  • Her favorite dance ability are her turns.[8]
  • In 2015, she said her favorite solo she had done was "Rise and Fall."[9]
  • Kendall, along with several other members of the Dance Moms cast, appeared and starred in Todrick Hall's video "Freaks Like Me" as the Cruella de Vil and Belle. It was released on July 3rd, 2014. The music video can be seen in full here.
  • Kendall, Mackenzie and Jill are left-handed.[10][11]
  • She loves to play tennis (which her father Erno taught her to play well), including with her sister Charlotte.[12][13]
  • At the end of Season 5, Kendall said her favorite song was "Love Me Harder" by Ariana Grande.
  • In Season 5, Kendall was unanimously voted the most boy crazy by her teammates.[14]
  • Kendall had been enrolled at Penn Middle School early in the 2014/2015 school year, but later switched to homeschooling and tutoring. Her principal said he was proud of Kendall's talents; noted her celebrity hadn't gone to her head; said that he liked Kendall best for being "down-to-earth"; and describing her as an "A-plus young lady."[15]
  • With Maria May and Liza Retter, Kendall performed as a member of the singing/dancing music group "The Glitter Girls," on the television show Party Rockers, at the same time as her first broadcast appearance on Dance Moms. (A video is available online, with the act starting around 10 minutes and 30 seconds.)
  • She used to play softball, but became too busy with the show.[16]
  • Like Maddie[17], Kendall has spoken of how they are required to stop acting silly or like kids during filming, and to instead behave seriously.[18]
  • Kendall's favorite types of dance are contemporary and jazz.[19]
  • When she grows up she wants to be on Broadway, but if she doesn't dance, she wants to be a dentist.
  • In Abby-phobic, Kendall says she is afraid of large crowds.
  • Kendall is the only girl chosen from all the auditions on Dance Moms to have a permanent spot on the Elite Team.
  • Kelly has tweeted that the bench given to Abby has since broken.[20]
  • Jill has been dismissive when asked if they actually bought a bench and masseurs for Abby and Gianna, rather than it being an idea by producers.[21]
  • At a special dance class Abby held in Canada, Abby said that Kendall was already dancing with ALDC when the audition.[citation needed]
  • She plans on taking acting classes in 2015.[22]
  • During filming, she usually doesn't get home until 10 p.m. or 11 p.m.[23]
  • Part of her auditions for the show happened with producers.[24]
  • Kendall's favorite shows are Shake It Up and Good Luck Charlie.[25]
  • The Everyone's Replaceable did not show Kendall's "Bring on the Boys" solo placing, but on the official website of the competition, she received first place in the primary division.[26]
  • Her favorite subject in school is science.[27]
  • In 2015, she said her favorite colors were teal, baby blue, and baby pink.[28] Around 2012, her favorite color was purple.[29]
  • Her favorite competitions are Jump and Nuvo.[30]
  • Her Zodiac sign is Sagittarius.
  • In February 2016, she expressed that she wanted to cut her hair into a bob and have highlights put through her hair.[31]
