"Stealing the Show" is the fourth episode of the first season of Dance Moms. It first aired on August 3, 2011.
Synopsis
Abby gives each girl one solo dance for the next competition. However, she gives two solos to her star dancer, Maddie, clearly providing her with an advantage over the others. Christi has seen this too many times and lashes out at Abby with uncontrolled fury.[1]

- Mackenzie previously wore her solo costume for her solo prior to the show entitled "Mouse Trap".
- Maddie previously wore her "Acapella" solo costume for her solo prior to the show entitled "USO Show".
- Maddie previously wore her "Cry" solo costume for her solo prior to the show entitled "Somewhere Over The Rainbow".

- The "Rag Dolls" group dance wasn't aired due to the rights of the music.[3]
- The original music for "Everlasting Friends" was replaced with Passing Train at the competition due to the rights to the original song.[4]
- Maddie's "A Capella" solo did not use music onstage. The song in the episode was dubbed in.[5]

Goofs/Errors
- The girls can be seen wearing the costumes of various unaired dances throughout the competition.
- Despite not being introduced at all throughout the episode, Kennedy Trent, an ALDC member who performed in the unaired group dance "Rag Dolls", can be seen during rehearsals.[8]
